Forums - Gaming - Bioware: "It makes sense for us to be multiplatform"

I also like exclusives but you either need something unique like the Wii was or to make your own games to expect many exclusives, Microsoft bought most of theirs whereas Sony and Nintendo make theirs, which is why it is more common to see a 360 exclusive go multiplat than it is PS3 anymore.

I hate timed exclusives with a passion. It's so false and uncool. Just let ME3 be multiplatform from day 1.

I agree. If you're gonna do a timed exclusive might as well just make it a full exclusive because the game is gonna sell like SHIT when it releases 6 months later on the other console at full price.

Some people prefer exclusivity because it gives a console "identity" but I'm 100% for mult-platform games.  I actually hope for a single universal platform in the future.  As more and more developers shy away from limiting their audience, I think it may eventually happen.

ahahhaha, thats bullshit. The bottom line is that they feel that they need those games as a reason for spending so many dollars due to their "brand loyalty".

Im a Sony fan through and through. And I WANT THIS TO REMAIN AN XBOX EXCLUSIVE

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

It also make sense never ever to make an atrocity like Bioware's Sonic RPG again

Or mediocrity like Dragon Age Origins

In fact they should just make ME and KOTOR

Actually they should just make KOTOR 3 next

people will stop caring about what happens to Revan eventually if they don't do that.

Actually Mr Tar Tar should stop being anti-sonic

Actually I should stop saying actually

i couldnt care less if its a time exclusive as long as it is released same day on PC/360 like ME2 so i can get the PC version. ME1 & 2 i have the PC version so want to keep it on the PC.

But i do see everyone elses point that want it released the same day for all platforms. Sales would benefit from it more as well.

Yeah that too! Sales patterns get very distorted due to timed exclusives and that irritates me too.

Stop. You loved it at first.

Did you download Witch Hunt yet?

If they make Kotor 3.
I is good.

even if they don't I'm probably good. Because ME is great too. So is Dragon Age, but not to the same extent imo.
But if they don't make Kotor3, I'm just sad panda.

didn't Mass Effect on the computer do really good though? And that was released a lot later...

well sometimes timed exclusives are good for them moneywise.... because they get people like me that buy both >_>. Because I like computer versions. I don't know if that's normal though.
