I'm not a fair weather fan like many people are with sports teams.  Even though they have been terrible for the last 10 years (God I miss Barry Sanders), I still root for them every week.  I don't expect miracles out the Lions this season, but I think 5 wins is attainable.  They have a decent offense, and their defense is improved, but they lack depth.  As soon as they take a few injuries at LB and DB they're in deep trouble.  Hopefully they can continue to build and be a contender in 2011 or 2012.

The Saints are fired up.  Minnesota may be in trouble real quick.

I hope more people post picks after Thursday.  Even if you are late, one game means nothing when there are 500 games played in the regular season.
