It kind of slaps you in the face, now that they cost so much cheaper than they did at launch. All that money that could have been saved. Oh well, I guess it was worth owning it at the very beginnning... Than again... Maybe not... Especially since Resistance was the only "good" game for the system, and even that wasn't a masterpiece. Thanks to Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction, and a few other good games, the Playstation 3 may finally make a name for itself, other than just existing...

EU launch £425 for the console ($850) with motorstorm and blazing angels (£40 each) with an extra controller (£35) and then I got Virtua Tennis and Resistance the following weeks by trading in a ton of old PS2 games

I paid retail for my Playstation 3 60 GB, around launch date, in Canada. Same as you alex.

I camped out for the PS3 with one friend and one of our pledges. Only 4 arrived to the Walmart we stayed at for 2 days. 2 60GB and 2 20GB, however the 60GB were delayed cuz of trafic or something so we didn't get it till noon that day. My 20GB sold for 1400 and my 2 60GB sold for 1000 each. Dang UPS, had it arrived that night we would've sold the 60GBs for a lot more!
