These sales are now "tainted" in my opinion and should not count, or have an asterisk next to them indicating if records are broken it is because retailers were practically giving the game away.

Dude, I would have bought a copy even if it wasn't for the Walmart deal. I suspect this is the case with the majority of the sales.
