There's a good hands-on preview here http://www.rpgfan.com/previews/Atelier_Rorona/index.html I'm really looking forward to this and also I'm really hyped for the sequel atelier totori, in seems that gust have definitely got to better grips grips with the 3d in this compared to the first.

How was rorona usually reviewed in Japan?

The Japanese review scores were good Dengeki 90/85/80/75 Famitsu 7/8/7/8 Also the user reviews ibe read who have imported the japanese version said it's really good and if your a jrpg fan or like the atelier series you'll love it.
