Julia Gillard is a Communist. Gillard is soft on terrorists. Illegal immigrants will flood Australia:  part of the Socialist International/Communism plan infecting most western world countries with multiculturalism. Illegal Muslim/Islam/gypsy immigrants flood countries and bring all their problems from their homelands to infect other nations.

Australia wanted Tony Abbott. Australia desperately needed Tony Abbott. Australia is forsaken, Australia is doomed under Communist Gillard Labor. Labor = Communism. Tony Abbott represents freedom, choice, liberty and conservative democracy.

Not quite subtle enough I'm afraid.

From a structural standpoint, this does not bode well for partisans due to having only a two seat lead, they will have to compromise on every major policy proposal.  If the partisans do the whole "change we can believe in" schtick, then the minority party could call for a motion of no confidence in another year or two and boot Gillard and the Labor coalition out when Labor is at it's most unpopular in the polls. Labor should play it low key and pass compromise legislation in order to hope their poll numbers get better in the next few years to call an election and solidify their lead.

The 1950s style Soviet propaganda electioneering is still commonly used in the modern age.The Labor Party are equivalent to America's Centre-left  Democrats. The Republican  conservatives refer to their political opponents as the Communists/Socialist International.

Wrong. If Australia wanted Abbot, he would have won by a clear majority. Instead, the people have spoken. they want a government that was open to compromise.Considering Abbot wanted to hide his $11bn budget black hole when the independents requested a review, I'm not suprised that they went with Gillard.

Well given the choice considering Labor's track record and Gillard's completely transparent $8 Billion waste in the BER program...I'd choose the coalitions black hole.

The independents went to ALP because they promised funding of an additional $3.5 Billion in rural areas and the NBN will be rolled-out first in their electorates with 'cross-subsidies' for metropolitan areas.

And you don't think Abbott will have his own instances of waste on top of that $11bn? Here's a little history:

Woop woop! Time to dance. This was exactly what I was hoping for out of this election - minority labor government with Katter nowhere near it :)

The only thing that I'm more sure of above death and taxes is that both parties will inevitably waste tax payer's money.  Though for my personal circumstances and philosphies I wish to be taxed less, have lower interest rates and a strong aussie dollar.  I believe the coalition to be more capable of providing this in their policies.

Thank god Abbott didn't win. I didn't even have to vote and I still got what I wanted and I'm not getting fined!!!

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.
