I don't think many people realize just how much of a devastating body blow Kinect is going to be for the PS3.  It'll be the same type of body blow that the Playstation brand got at the hands of the Wii and DS.

The Move controller is Sony playing it safe again just like they did with the Sixaxis and the way they're handling it shows they they still don't truly get why the Wii is such a success.

There's a video going around that sums up what I'm trying to say.  It's of a smug Sony fanboy using a Move controller and trash talking the Wii while getting annoyed at a young boy for the way he is using the controller.  Meanwhile the boy is getting annoyed at the trash talking and mentions how he likes the Wii.

That smug Sony fanboy is showing the exact same attitude that some PS3 gamers are showing as well as some of the same video game journalists that lamented the affect that the Wii has had video games.  To them this is motion controls done right and for some journalists it's their long awaited revenge against the Wii.

But just like before they're in for shock and disappointment because at the end of the day it was never about accuracy or graphics or true 1:1 in games, it's about everyone being able to have fun regardless of their skill level.  Kinect helps in that fun by removing part of the problem that the ever more complex game controllers with their ever increasing numbers of buttons and parts have brought to gaming.

I truly believe that like the first three years of the Wii's life when price cuts by the competition really didn't do much against it, the same is going to happen with Kinect.  A $50 price cut isn't going to work when it doesn't change the reason why the competition is outselling you.

Anyways that's my viewpoint and I think it's a lot more valid of an argument than for example the number of hits a facebook page gets that I've heard other people give as theirs.

If Kinect is the way gaming is going...flopping around hoping it traces your body movements and only being able to actually control 1/10 things that are actually going on at once...Count me out

Just waiting for that PS Vita to come out so I can play some full featured games on the go with that beautiful screen and control scheme...

You contradict yourself at the end by saying thats "my viewpoint", yet using words they're and it'll.

1/10 of the Actions....not 1/10 accuracy...
