Sorry to keep posting these things, but....

"It could endanger troops and it could endanger the overall effort," Gen. Petraeus said in an interview. "It is precisely the kind of action the Taliban uses and could cause significant problems. Not just here, but everywhere in the world we are engaged with the Islamic community."

Is from that article linked above.

I am sorry, we really have things backwards here. We have a group of stupid people in Florida, who due to not liking a Mosque going up in NY, chose to burn some books. BFD, no one gets hurt, and some books go poof.

Now, in retaliation to this, we think some people around the world are going to take this information, and start killing people with it. So, one group burns books, and one group murders people, and we are apologetic about the morons in Florida?

This is like someone sticking there tong out at someone, and getting there face blown off for it, and taking the side of the guy who pulled the trigger.

If burning a book makes someone want to kill, I say bring it.

Worst Post of the week.

Fixed.

Uh.... FYI "Fixed" posts like that are against forum rules and a bannable offense.

I am sorry. I will remove them.

I don't really care, I've just seen people get banned for that.   The trend used to be real big around here till it started pissing off admins because it's basically (No offense) a big red flashing sign that you can't actually debate the point you believe in because you're only response is to strawman and mock.

My intent wasn't to debate, nor express what I believed in... Hmmm... My posts probably were rather childish. Dammit...

I have a question .. an honest one

Do I have the right to insult some members on these fourms and call them " fanboys" or whatever (not criticism .. just insulting ) because they post something that I don't like  ?

if that's the case then we should recognize ioi and his staff as people who against the freedom of speach because they will ban us for doing so .

That what I got from many of your posts people .

Strange , even when I was an atheist I thought that my freedom stops when it comes to hurting the others ( again not criticism just hurting ) , but that's probaly just me ...

Well, this forum is the property of this ioi fellow so he can choose to not allow certain people on it. It's kinda like saying that if you go into someone's house and insult them if they throw you out they're going against your freedom of speach.

What if "ioi" doesn't really care about it and won't react , do I have the right to do so ?

You can do whatever you want, but if you break the rules you will be punished accordingly. One of the rules in here is that you must not insult other users.

Yes, if it's not against forum rules. Freedom of speach has it's limits, but insulting someone isn't one of them. And of course since this is a private forum, so you should keep that in mind.

Yes.  Otherwise, it's completely arbitrary and worthless.  Who decides what's the right level of "hurt" by what people say.

I'm OK with the mosque and I'm OK with it.  Then again, I'm an atheist, so I think they should throw the bible in that fire also.

Rather they recycled them all. But them again most Americans dont care about 'that crap'. Just like I dont care about all the crap that religious fanatics like these people come up with.

Seriously, Im sure Ive seen news reports about other groups doing similar things to aggravate religious tensions. Most of them are linked to terrorist groups.

i was waitting for someone to post this? 3 months ago! it's old news, but i think the right OP has it.

srry bud this isn't about rights? how can a man that claims to be religious or a pastor justify this as being ok or the right thing to do? i guse the next step is to burn the bible right? yes makes perfect sense to me! as a mater of fact just like this priest said today on CNN i will pray on wether to burn the bible on September 11th! yea that's my protest!

he can't say god told him to do it. i may just burn a bible everyday for the rest of my life. i think thats ok don't you?

on a personal note. i may not be the most religious person in the world, but i don't throw away anything with the name of a god on it, from Cronos to Thor. this preist will find his self in hell and i hope he's praying to the right god about this cause watching this man on tv i see evil in his face.

I'm getting annoyed with all the atheists saying that we should burn all of the religious books.

Freedom of belief is important, you can't just expect everybody to believe the same thing as you and there is no reason to disrespect the beliefs of the many moderate believers out there.

Interesting ...

People definitely underestimate the effects of that logic in the long term , look at the world around you and you'll know it's the time to rethink that.

Thank you for your time =) , I have nothing more to say.
