Forums - Sony - Take a look at these 15 Cancelled PlayStation 3 games

In concept, those games sound much much better than the current sony first party exclusives, minus GoWIII and Uncharted 1&2

Well if it makes you feel better, a X360 would be worth buying to me if it had that whole cancelled list (assuming they were good to great games). As of right now, naaaaah.

Yeh damn sony.

They should bring 8days back on development seriously.

Whoa, I always thought that Redwood Falls video was an early Alan Wake concept video.  I can understand some of the titles being cancelled because they looked kinda rough (The Fixer comes to mind) but what the hell? How do these games get passed over by publishers, but something like Bionic Commando, HAZE and Fracture get backed up. Then again, Too Human and Lair looked pretty awesome in trailers before they released as well.

If I had the money, I'd probably back up Redwood Fall's, Project Offset, Catalyst, Ubisoft Gorilla Project, Dark Watch 2, War Devil and maybe Deep Rift.

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.

Heavenly Sword And Valkyria Chronicles originally were Xbox games. Microsoft also didn't like the Idea of a new game Media Molecule's staff were working on (probably Little big Planet) when Media Molecule's staff was part of LionHead (thats the reason the MM staff went off Lionhead and made MM), microsoft also cancelled a lot of their old IP games.

Nintendo cancelled a lot of games before , a lot because of being offensive or not family friendly.

a lot of third party games were cancelled by all three because the developers didn't want to make them anymore or jumped ship like Monster Hunter 3 (PS3) --> Tri (Wii)

Good riddance. None of this looks promising.

Well I would guess:

Bionic Commando- Developed by Capcom (with GRIN), sequel in an established game series.

Haze- FPS developed by Free Radical, the talent behind the Timesplitters series.

Fracture- Not to sure about this one, possibly the idea and the large dev studio behind it.

It could simply be that a lot of the decisions to fund games are made at a high level, where they look to publish games from reputable studios with a history, more so than risk money on up and coming talent.
