Twitter is an excellent tool to keep up with current trends within an industry. I follow several tech and design tweets that constantly feed me information that I wouldn't find otherwise without searching.

I also use it to follow baseball but other than that, I don't really use it for personal stuff at all. Facebook works better for that, IMO.

twitter is pretty awesome to me you all have to know how to use it before you call it useless.

i only use it for gaming news or news in general from various gaming sites i.e. joystiq, playstation blog, major nelson, ign.com and etc.

i like the aspect of getting the news  updates on my blackberry

It suits me fine, I guess.  It's like being able to post a one sentence comment in a million threads where other people post one sentence comments.  Considering my VGChartz posting style, it cool.  I may tire of it sooner rather than later, though.

Lots of cool links to cool sites/pics/videos, too.  It depends on who you follow and what you're into.  Plus, I like the feeling that everytime I look at my phone, there's something new there (sometimes, there's too many new tweets!).

I love Twitter.

I don't use it for personal blogging like a lot do however.

For me, it's great way to learn about products and places. For example, we had a hotel booked for New Zealand, so in Twitter I made a search term for that hotel. A few days later, someone posted how they hated there stay, and it had bed bugs.

Called up, canceled and booked a different hotel.

It's also a good place to ask questions about stuff. For example, if I want some information on a camera I want to buy, I can just ask the question in Twitter, and within a few hours, someone has answered me.

Twitter is not Facebook. It's closer to a huge slow chat room with millions of people, and you get to filter who you see by what they say.

Twitter is the "Post Your Mind" thread on steroids.

i only use it to get video game news on the go, and some others.

never really had something interesting to post myself, i just follow.

I retweet a lot.  I'll use it more as my IM efforts and traveling start to increase.
