how about using % instead of static numbers?
What is the purpose of having, you know, windows, to have them all fullscreen?
It is perfect for me, but being able to chose the resolution would make everyone else happy as well.

Nintendo still doomed?
Feel free to add me on 3DS or Switch! (PM me if you do ^-^)

Lets abstract further and ask what the point of multiple desktops is?
A lot of folks with widescreen monitors use multiple desktop setups, or in my case multiple desktops with multiple monitors, etc....The result is that I have lots of space to put windows without worrying about being able to see multiple things at once.
The problem is that with my current setup there are fairly regular occasions where text in a post run off the right side of the window and I have to shrink the text down to the size a flea to get it all on screen...I would love for a widescreen option and it doesn't effect folks who don't want widescreen if he does it as an option, so there shouldn't be a problem really.

It can require an obscene amount of design work for negligible benefits and the currently accepted minimum resolutions are 800x600 for legacy machines (when you know that's your target audience) and 1024x768 for current machines. In essence, to continue serving a contemporary internet audience VGChartz needs to maintain its design for 1024x768. |
Nobody is suggesting it shouldn't.
if no one else has mentioned it, it should be dynamically built based on your screen size.
It takes a little code, but if you google it based on your language choice you should easily find solutions.
