Are we counting overall PCs or ones built for gaming? Because I would be VERY hardpressed to build a PC right now that is as weak as a console. The end result is the same, the PC by now is in a league of its own, and putting it on the level of the HD consoles is just idiotic.

No it's not idiotic. At this point in last gen there was a significant difference between PC games and consoles - Doom 3 and Half-Life 2 on PC looked much better than the Xbox versions and Battlefield 2 and Rome: Total War looked much better than Halo 2 and Medal of Honor: Frontile.

But in this generation Bad Company 2 and Call of Duty Black Ops on PC don't look any better than the PS360 versions and PC exclusives like STALKER: Call of Prpyat, EMPIRE: Total War and The Witcher 2 don't look better than Uncharted 2, Alan Wake or The Last Guardian.


Funny cause ME2 for instance looks far better ont he PC than on the consoles. It also runs smoother, at higehr resolutions, much higher. Same with BF BC2 right now.

Also, I'm sure you must have been one of those guys "oh yeah the Wii is WAAAAY out of the PS3's league" back in 2007, right? Also I am sorry, but Empire doesn't look better? Hell, Empire will set fire to any of the 2 consoles, even if you combined them, when on max settings.

Sort of. So maybe you agree with me then? That all that extra power doesn't mean much if there's no games developed to utilize that.

At least not yet. The Witcher looks really good though. I'm actually planning to upgrade my PC just in time for its release.

To say that I am excited would be a huge understatement.  To be honest, I haven't enjoyed many FPS games since Duke.  It had a level of interactivity and humor that no game has matched for me.  It had nothing to do with the juvenile humor, more so it was fun just to hear the attitude, one liners and quips "We meet again, Dr. Jones". 

Of course, one might argue that, since I had as much fun just exploring the attitude and atmosphere of the game as I did shooting things, I am not an an FPS purist.  But... so what?

Realistically speaking, for that statement to be true they added 2 too many items to the list.

I agree duke should be a PC exclusive. It has no place on a system that does not use a mouse and keyboard for it.
