All I can do is sit back a chuckle at what game ISN'T on that list!

If only people had listened! * brushes off shoulders with a STRIKING victory *

Still living the obsession ? Loneliness and obsession is a pretty bad combo...

Not sure what to make of this except to peg it as your usual nonsense.

As usual you will hit the report button.

Nah, no need. Just another comment not worth harping over.

So your obession does have limits ? Good for you !

Wow that's a lot of flops.

I think you can add Army of Two: The 40th day, Skate 3, Nier and Supreme Commander 2 to that list.

the biggest FLOP of the year in my opinion is APB (RTW went out of business, LOL)

Nier

Alpha Protocol

Dark Void

EDIT: forgot about a few wii games released this year

Trauma Team (shame, since i lov the series)

Arc Rise Fantasia

Sin and Punishment 2 (BUY THIS GAME.. its $29.99 at best buy right now, just ordered it)

Mass Effect 2 is tracking on level with or better than its predecessor, darth.

The chart graphing tools are gone

they painted strikingly different picture.

But then Resonance Of Fate is selling as good as any random new IP JRPG did last gen.

If ROF is there, why isn't Star Ocean IV PS3 version there?

If Resonance Of Fate is there why isn't NIER there?

If Resonance Of Fate is there why isn't FF Crystal Chronicles Wii there?

Who expected big things from Resonance Of Fate pray tell...

At 30 weeks, Mass Effect had sold 1.73 million copies.

At 30 weeks, Mass Effect 2 has sold 1.93 million copies.

ME2 is doing fine.

Weird, it was falling behind before VGC 3.0 came and then Bioware said they shipped 1.6 Million PC/360.

Still thats lower than Oblivion/Fallout

Yet Resonance Of Fate is being called a flop because it sold less than what FFXIII and Dragon Quest.

Fallout 3 is Fallout 3. It is unfair to compare other games to Fallout 3. Other than that, Mass Effect 2 is doing fine.

ME2 is better than Fallout 3 though, by a long way.

Horseshit. I refuse to respond to your flamebait, execpt to say that I couldn't disagree with you more.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

Well there's a recession going on so I'm not suprised.

Recession has nothing to do with quality, lol.

Anyway, this is 2010. If GT, Black Ops, and Halo Reach do what we expect them to, then in retrospect, calling this the year of the flops will look totally oblivious. Those are the tentpole titles to end all tentpole titles, and can single handedly make or break a gaming year.

Aren't we talking about sales?

With the games I've mentioned, I'm talking metacritic and sales combined.

@Zen

Done

Yes, that's why I deleted it 10 seconds after I posted it. Will you please edit your post?

Update: The shooting mechanics in Fallout 3 aren't bad when you are not in VATS, THEY ARE WORKING AS INTENDED. Aiming has a margin for error with every shot you make, and adding points to SPECIAL or increasing certain skills make your out of VATS aiming better. Fallout 3 is disguised as a shooter, but in reality, it is meant to emulate a turn based RPG in real time, and thus when you shoot at somebody from 100 yards away, and miss, it's not because the gameplay is messed it, it's because you rolled dice behind the scenes, had those numbers entered into an equastion, and failed in your attempt to hit the target, and thus missed the shot. If you increase your skills via RPG experience points, you will have a greater chance to make that shot next time. Thus the RPG part of the WRPG game, and not the shooting part of the shooter game, because there is  no shooter game. Swords are just replaced with projectile weapons. Oblivion is not a shooter because I used a bow the entire way through, nor is Fallout 3 a brawler with I beat it almost only using a baseball bat.

Update 2: Thanks for editing your post! :)

Also, imo, Oblivion is just about the same game as Fallout 3 in the gameplay department, so if there is a desparity in depth, it is miniscule. Let's not get on a tangent though. Let us agree to disagree about our opinions.
