your threads are quite repetitive, weren't you the one who started the samsung 3d tvs too.

no.

yes almost everyone i know has either samsung or lg, they are cheaper and very good, sony tends to be more expensive. i have an lg. i still dont see the point of calling out on the small marketshare for sony in the tv market, it's not like they arent selling any.

I never did.

well i guess thats expected from someone who's biased against sony.

I love Vaio notebooks.

the tvs have pretty good quality picture and the prices are starting to come down from what i've seen in stores. i do notice less variety in models from sony, the stores i visit tend to only have sony tvs from 40" up.

LG has more models and are cheaper, also the stores often do promotions to get rid of old models and thats how we got a 42" veeery cheap. the quality of the picture isnt inferior so it doesnt come as a surprise how well it sells.

After I read you post, I remebered this:

Sorry, I don't want to insult you at all. It just fits.

thats hilarious since i'm not the one creating anti-something threads

I'm actually quite surprised too because I've read/heard so many conflicting things about LG tvs. Since Pioneer got out of the tv making business Panasonic is supposed to be using the same tech that was in the highly touted Kuros. Panny did take a hit with the black rising fiasco with last year's plasmas but I've always likes Panny. I think once they start to fully grasp and implement the Kuro tech (2011, 2012) that they will be hard to beat in terms of all around picture quality for the price. Still and all though flat panels are getting nicer and nicer, lucky us.

If I were to buy a plasma, it would probably be a Panasonic for some of the reasons you mentioned.  But let not forget that marketshare =/= quality.  And let's not fo get that Pioneer got out of the plasma business NOT because they made bad plasma televisions but it was the ignorance of the masses.  Not criticizing, just stating fact.

I do believe that just because there is a link to an opinion doesn't make that opinion fact.  And I also believe that using such tactic is very revealing of a narrow mindset exposing potential hypocrity of the one using such tactic.  Go figure.

Hey for the main TV in the living room, I'm a plasma guy all day, best PQ IMO. I"m all too aware of the ignorance of the masses regarding this topic as well.

I LOVE paying for Xbox Live! I also love that my love for it pisses off so many people.

I've had my SONY SXRD rear projection for 2.5 years and loving it.  I don't see myself buying a new televisions soon, but for a comparable size i'd probably go with a plasma if I were to buy one today.

I feel so alone as the sole Sony fanboy it seems. I am very very happy with my Sony TV which I got a few years ago, does everything great (as do my Sony phone, laptop and (my mum's) camera), and was actually reasonably priced

Don't worry I have a Sony T.V. to... though it was for my dad... and it's in the family room... and I can't really use it much.  But the best T.V. I've ever owned, I literally wanted to through my 32 inch T.V. from Sharp out the window after watching Dark Knight on my Sony T.V. (I love my Sharp T.V. don't get me wrong, it's where I game, but damn the years hasn't been kind to it).

The only thing about that is Sony reportedly use Sharp screens for their TVs (I think), so it is age as much as anything else for your sharp...

Doesn't LG = lifes good? Anyway, life must really be good for LG.

@Reasonable: You're wrong because I think you're wrong, ok?

LG stands for Lucky Goldstar. In the West we have the slogan Life's Goood in the LG ads hence it's asociation. This was of course a deliberate marketing strategy by LG.

Does no one remember 'Goldstar' electronic goods from years gone by?

Thing with Sony is though they are top quality you do pay for the name as well.

I'd just like to add LG have come leaps and bound in terms of picture and sound quality.
