Seems like some of the reviews for Sports Champs marks it down quite a bit because of the cost of the HW set up. It's as if they think Sports Champs is the only game you play with the Move HW. Even a site like Gametrailers markes it down as hard to recommend because of how much it will all cost.
How about scoring the game for it's direct cost (being a Sony Move title it's ony $40 right?) and assume that people are going to spread the cost of getting the hardware across a number of games. After all I'm getting Move primarily for Heavy Rain and R.U.S.E. When I buy Sports Champs I'll be getting the game only so the HW costs aren't a relevant consideration.

That's slightly irked me, too, but I guess it's to be expected. In time honoured review template fashion their using the fact you obviously have to buy the tech to play in the first instance to weight against value for the launch titles.
I've always thought this was overly simplistic, but I suspect it does suit the average consumer who probably looks at it that way. Dance Central aside I guess we're going to hear the same for Kinect soon, if not more so, because the launch titles are pretty similar really and the cost is higher for one person experience (and arguably higher for two person as well if you're happy to use dualshocks instead of sub-controllers).
For me there's already enough interesting looking Move specific titles plus what looks like good optional support in LBP2, Socom 4, KZ3, RUSE, RE5 (Gold), etc. to cover the costs of the tech initially.
Every review seems to find the tech itself very good and accurate, and as I've already got an EyeToy I really feel it's a bit of a 'why not' in my case.
