When poured onto cereal, what is milk? | |||
| A beverage | 12 | 25.00% | |
| A sauce | 14 | 29.17% | |
| A broth | 22 | 45.83% | |

For me, its more like a lubricant cause cereal is too dry to eat on its own so it needs milk to do down like a car needs oil.
X marks the spot.

I had to pick beverage, mainly because I still drink the milk once I eat all the cereal.
One of my favorite parts of eating cereal is drinking the -slightly- flavored milk after all the cereal is gone.
I pour a lot of milk into my cereal. In fact, I drink milk with almost every meal of the day.

I don't believe those classifications adequately describe the relationship of milk to cereal. The term 'beverage' suggests that the milk is greater than the cereal it floats, while 'sauce' and 'broth' infer an inferior status.
They are mates, different but complementary, equal partners in the bowl.

@NiKKoM: Lol
Anyway....
It's a broth.
A sauce implies a more visceral substance that coats solids, and a beverage implies something that can be drank without any solids stopping it from being drunk.
A broth is designed to give more taste and texture to the surrounding solids.
