Pre-Orders are US only right? Reach is still 2.4 million off Halo 3's launch sales and more off Modern Warfare 2's. Though still looking really good.

You're seeing things. Only one person has made a comment about low GT sales ( a PS fan no less ), and he isn't saying doom or gloom, or that it'll fail, just insinuating that pre orders are unusually low for such a huge game.

Stop trying to create something that simply isn't there ...

A. Who careswhat "fan" it's from.

B. With 10 weeks left, the claim that it's :"sad, sad" are premature.

C. Take your own advice on your last sentence. And stop accusing people of things that you, yourself, do.

A. Ooh yeah it matters. The sentiment is completely different, your whole defensive first post comes across as people bashing the game. He clearly wasn't just upset at sales.

B. Most games on the list are seeing rises, just look at Fable III above it ....

C. I'm pretty spot on with my post thank you. ONE person posts something and you go on about "all the GT doom and gloom" ... really?

wait your telling cgi what i feel?  why am i being labeled a "ps fan" even if its true. im a person! im disapointed in gt preorders, but then again im realisitc and i know that its not going to flop or disapoint me in the end. and no i am just upset about sales.

in the defense of cgi people are going to come and start arguieng how gt5 pre orders are bad..... he shut them up before they can post.

Well, since I couldn't care less for the labels, I'll stick to my point. This isn't the only place I see this stuff for the game. Most of the time, I shrug it. However, as pointed out, the game is still 10 weeks away, and there aren't any concrete expectations for it, at least not in the States. If there were, and the game was failing to reach them, I'd get the comments towards it.

Besides that though, why do you care so much?

It's not a "label" for starters, different fans have different sentiments. Some Xbox troll coming in saying "oooh low Gt sales ... " is very different to a PS3 fan saying it. I thought that'd be obvious :S

Ya you're right, I only see this stuff here too. You're not helping though, nobody had really even spoken about doom and gloom for GT up until your post, and tbh as the weeks get closer, and the other games rise and GT5 remains stalemate, you're going to have to get use to certain comments.

This is America Pre orders, so if anyone does comment on possible low opens, and sluggish sales, it's not anything to do with it's WW sales just America ... though I'm sure you get this.

I realize it's just America, hence my comment about "The States". Also, each franchise has a certain sell pattern. When has GT ever been huge out of the gate? It's always been about legs and how long it sells and sells and sells.The comments are premature in that respect, not to mention how other games were considered "doomed" based on pre-orders and then they launched and shattered expectations. A lot can happen in 10 weeks.

Pretty much all I'm trying to get through.

Saying GT5 will have great legs is premature tbh, it's a vastly different landscape in America these days.

Halo Reach and FFXIV surprise me with their strength.

Didn't know Halo was still so powerful after COD's rise and didn't know so many cared about a FF MMO.

The Prologue won't teach you anything. Previous main games have come out 6 months to a year after the Prolouge, this one? 2.5 - 3 years in some places, meaning if GT5 HAD come out 6 months after, it more than likely would have stumbled to 2 million.
