Forums - Nintendo - Starting to doubt Wii

I got my Wii at launch November 2006, now its 2010 nearly 2011 and im now starting to doubt it, i was looking foward to Metroid other M until the reviews started coming out, and i dont like the idea of playing with just the Wiimote i like playing with the Wiimote and Nunchuk and it also sounds like the games not very long and loads of long cut scenes :(

Ive only had enjoyment out of a few games, the Pro Evolution Soccer series, Madworld and Mario Kart, i Mainly play games downloaded off of VC.

It seems everytime i get a game it doesnt end up been as great as i thought it would be, Monster Hunter 3 looks nice but wasnt for me, The Conduit was a big let down, the other games im was looking forward to was Trackmania, Sonic Colors, Epic Mickey and was looking at goldeneye but not sure.

Might now see what Nintendo has in store for the next home console, right now im a stressed out gamer

You shouldn't be so stressed about video games that means you are taking them too seriously.  Sure there might be a lack of games out there for certain people's tastes if you only rely on one system (especially a system most 3rd party companies neglect or spew crap on).  I am looking forward to Wii Party myself and that is about it.  Goldeneye if done right would be nice but not sure how that will end up.  You shouldn't take a few bad reviews of Metroid other M from discouraging you.  There are more good reviews for it than bad.  G4TV just gave it bad reviews cause a dumb bitch thought the game was sexist.  Anyways, check out more reviews from other sites on Metroid other M before deciding to write it off.

You could always get another console that has games that suit you better, and more games coming out for it

mM

Dosn't sound like you like Nintendo's main offerings? "SMG, NSMB, SSBB, ect"?

Maybe i used the wrong word, maybe more a frustrated gamer

To me this has been my major complaint with Nintendo since the N64.  In many regards, since SNES every generation Nintendo inevitably has some area of gaming that they are a huge let down to me.  Whether it's third party support or lack of 'mature-rated' games or a general lack of games...It just seems that they end up disappointing in the end.

I know what you're feeling.  The only two games that truly interest me are Donkey Kong (But I feel like that is more of a downloadable title type of fun) and the new Zelda.   I think I'm going to try and sell my Wii in a few weeks here and put it towards Move for the PS3.

SSBB was another game i was looking forward to that i couldnt get into, theres a few games that i still havent got round to getting yet like Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, was not sure about Mario Galaxy. I got No More Heroes and although i thought i was alright i thought it was to short and the open world sucked.

Tssss... you don't want mario to read this.

On topic.

Metroid other m looks like a great game, probably not perfect. Even on GT they gave it a good review. You even have deals for it with like 20 dollar off.

The wii does suffer from some 3rd party troubles. It's sad, but not the end of the world. There are plenty of games on it. Which ones might be the problem for you. Another console perhaps - a secondhand Xbox360 is not that expensive.

why sell ? keep it and buy whatever console you like, they're not THAT expensive after all, if you think about it for example instead of buying 5 games, save up, you'd have 200 $  and add some 100 from your own (that is if you want new one not used) and you can buy an HD console

all and all i think what you get a month is more than enough to buy both consoles and still have more money to spend on other stuff.
