you come here to tell me 3D is garbage while sporting a kid rock avatar?!?!

3-D is very important. If a movie is not in 3-D I get very disapointed.

Inception is the only exception I will make.

The prime problem is that it's all a revenue scam and has nothing to do with what users want, especially given that the success of 3D films is really just a correlation/causation thing. Alice in Wonderland would have done that well because it was Tim Burton on friggin' Alice (and the combination was very disappointing for what that promised), and Avatar was a visual feast without it anyway, and would have remained that way. It was CG and not 3D that made that what it was.

It's just an effort for the 3D pushing companies to force their expensive setups on theatres, and then for the production companies to extort more from us at the ticket window.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

I like 3D, granted I haven't seen much, but Avatar and How to Train a Dragon are pretty amazing in 3D. If movie companies can find a way to make a little bit more revenue, then good for them I guess, but as long as 2D always remains an option I don't see what's wrong.

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.

he's not your friend, buddy!

I don't know man, 3D is pretty great.

I really don't care if holywood decides to milk it with garbage movies, cause when it works...it kicks ass. Not to mention that it enhances videogames to a great extent when its done right.

One of these days I will post my 3D home theater setup and make you all jelous :P

The 3D fad will die out. It won't last. A good proportion of the population can't even see in 3D due to eye conditions. Not to mention that many people get headaches and/or nausea from watching in 3D.

?!? only a very small proportion of the population cannot see in 3D. The one that are missing one or two eyes that is.

That's not the only reason that people can't see 3D properly.  I've read that the proportion of people who can't see 3D properly is about 12%.
