So, I sold my PS3 awhile back to a friend (release 60GB), and just sold my 360 (no wi-fi, 20GB RRoD edition) and Wii last week. I'm pretty much caught up on 360 games (I can wait to play Reach) and my girlfriend has a Wii so I see no need to replace that, ever.

That leaves the PS3 as the console I'm most "behind on" so that's the first I'm going to repurchase. Any price drop rumors in the near future? If not, what are the 2-3 games I should start with that have released in the past 18 months?

the old models are probably going to have a price cut when the new skus come out. as for games i suggest gow 3 uncharted 2 and infamous.

umm..why the selling and rebuying?  isn't that more costly to you in the end?

The PS3 is long gone and I want a 100% wi-fi setup for the new system I'm going to install. Between my 360 just getting old, still looking ugly, and only having 20GB of storage, no HDMI, and no wi-fi, I saw no reason to keep it any longer.

I like new hotness. Old not-so-hotness is boring.

Wait for next month when we get the 160gb/320gb consoles, the older models propably will be sold out cheaper to clear stock.

Hmm. I see new PS3 Slims on eBay for ~$280 shipped. Tempting, though I think my girlfriend would kill me if I ordered a PS3 today because I just bought a 27" computer monitor this morning.

I'm gonna jump in next month (- or if they announce a GT 5 bundle) when the 160GB comes out for the same 299 Euros. So no price drop, sorry.
