Forums - Microsoft - New Live Action Halo Reach Trailer : Deliver Hope

Holy hell, that's pure awesomesauce.

Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!

Kojima: Come out with Project S already!

I thought it was amazing.

One little thing that bothered me that I didn't even notice until someone else mentioned it to me is that the Spartans don't seem to have much weight to them. Like when Kat get flipped by the banshee it would have been cool to see her hit the ground with a huge impact that makes the ground shake and dust fly out. But I guess if your working on a limited budget you can't worry about such little details. All in all though it was pure awesome.

@Keifer

I'm surprised you figured it out so fast, I didn't even realize Kat didn't have a bionic arm until my third time watching, props.

^Yeah that is looking good. Looks like Jun's sniper rifle is very popular too, I would have thought Emile's skull grill would be in the lead.

I'm on Carters leg lol, i was kinda in a hurry and just clicked on the first point of light i could cause i had to leave for work.

Carter's 3rd leg? Talk about tip of the spear.

@Kiefer, I did notice the arm but didn't give it much thought. I think you have a pretty solid theory too.

Man the Elites are off the hook looking even though it's brief. And how bout when the Spartan boards the ship and looks down to see that massive amount of enemies. These live actions are bitter sweet in the sense that yeah we get to see a few minutes of awesome shit but they also serve as a reminder of what we are missing by not having a movie.

Looks like I was right. http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Thom-293

So was about your theory :)  But it did say an "unknown colony world". So that wasn't Reach then I guess.

I was watching this again on Waypoint and I kept on pausing it every few seconds to see all the details. There is a lot of good stuff to see if you do this (Elites with energy sword in one hand, plasma rifle in the other,Spartan assassinating an Elite). It got me thinking, is there a way to use slow-mo while watching something on Waypoint? It would be especially useful for this because this whole thing is mostly short scenes  put together.  Also, there is a little interview with Stan Lee on Waypoint. I don't know about the people here but I absolutely love hearing him talk.

I LOVE paying for Xbox Live! I also love that my love for it pisses off so many people.

Every time I see a live action Halo spot it pisses me off.  I want a fracking movie already damn it!  There is no way a movie thats done properly wouldn't do well.  If it were in 3d and done with a proper budget it would easily be one of the biggest movies at the box office ever.

Whoever is in charge of the Halo movie division needs to redouble their efforts damn it.

I'm not known for tearing up to much at movies, but on occasion I do.  And if its as good as the previews are giving us, theres a good chance of it happening for me as well.
