Considering the price just announced for the add-on 250GB HDD drive and that most people suspected it even before the announce, given MS' record, I'm not surprised Arcade gave a small bump, just slowing sales fall. People knowing they'd eventually need to buy a MS add-on drive won't buy an Arcade, it's the worst value in this case.

Unlikely as a 4gb with a USB stick option would work, I very much doubt that the persons purchasing the Arcade gave it much thought.

If you start liking DLC, USB sticks can become quite expensive to store large amounts of data, even compared to MS proprietary drives. It's a lose-lose situation.

20GB is fine that is the 4GB on-board and 16 GB stick retail £18 and I can buy me a few of them before not having the built in drive becomes a drama. I know because I had a 20GB launch console, Like I said though I doubt they give it much thought.

Kinect as seen by PS3 owners ...if you can pick at it   ...post it ... Did I mention the 360 was black and Shinny? Keeping Sigs obscure since 2007, Passed by the Sig police 5July10.

I don't understand where people get the notion that 4 gigs or even 16 is enough. My Rock Band DLC alone almost takes up that much space.

For some yes, for others no.

I have a 120GB console and I have to replace the HDD in the near future due to lack of space. Yeah, I'm a PS3 user but Xbox 360 is not so different.

But your not buying an Arcade. If you are buying an arcade you are making a comprimise, this means if you want to download in excess of 120GB data then you are going to have to do some serious juggling. That said I would question why you purchased an Arcade model. Now at some point you may feel you need a hard drive but that could be 2 years from now. Like I said most people buying an arcade do not give this much thought.

Quite obviously, from sales numbers of the various versions, 20GB aren't so fine for a large share of users. Anyway, if MS decided to price that 250GB HDD so high, there must be people ready to buy it, so much the better for MS...

I do wonder who are buying them so soon after launch but I guess their is always at least one muppet for every ten numpties.

I just can't see the 360's sales droping down to wii ps3 levels any time soon will the gap get closer certainly but for all you expecting a sub 70k week for the 360 within the next month i dunno if its gonna happen.

I don't know much about Europe but from the sounds of it the new arcade won't be avaliable everywhere ( including the uk the 360s biggest market in this region?) until next week.

So I doubt sales will decline at all and maybe even see a modest boost next week and then three weeks after that halo launches right? So I doubt the sales will decline to sub 70k before reach does come out and the 360 gets a boost from its release.

For the average gamer 16 gigs is plenty.
