It might do, but can the 360 version hit 2 million?

EVERY OTHER game isn't uncharted 1 like game that it gets boosted when the second 1 is about to launch |
Always so agressive. We'll just have to wait and see.
The FF series is known for having legs, there is still room for price cuts, and it doesn't look like XIII will just fade into obscurity with XIV being online only and XIII Versus coming eventually.
Also, I don't believe any of the upcoming "blockbusters" are JRPG. Thus FFXIII will remain king of that genre on HD consoles.

It can't pass 7.95.
I loved the game (actually one of my favorite ever), and I don't think it will pass 7.
Though, depending on if they re-released a FFXIII international in Japan it would certainly increase there chances... and maybe even more if they added things like previous internationals and released it in the U.S., Europe as I would buy it again. They'd be basically selling to the audience that liked it a few stragglers but, I'd buy it.

I say it definitely will. Especially considering there is room for price cuts.

Good to hear that FF XIII is doing well but i also would not like to see it pass the sales of X since i agree that X was the last great FF game to be released! They need to go back to the good old days with the future games, turn-based battles and something to actually do when wandering the world (maybe even a proper world to wander would be nice too SE lol)
EDIT: BRING BACK AIRSHIPS AND A WORLD MAP DAMMIT!!!!

Always so agressive. We'll just have to wait and see. just considering the weekly sales data The FF series is known for having legs, FF was also higher rated, more loved and popular even then it has not be known for having legs FF games have always sold all of their sales in the first 6 months, they barely sell after that there is still room for price cuts, and it doesn't look like XIII will just fade into obscurity with XIV being online only and XIII Versus coming eventually. i took the price cuts into consideration and even then it will be very very hard to do more 2.2m and how doesn't it look like like fading, huh? - do you just say what you want to happen Also, I don't believe any of the upcoming "blockbusters" are JRPG. Thus FFXIII will remain king of that genre on HD consoles. sure it will but nobody cares and how it scored and how people didn't like it much didn't really make it popular. you always talk like price cuts and being the best in that genre means it will get big sales ,that doesn't always happen MGS4 by far the best in its genre but it won't just sell so much more. |

The PS3 also has Japan, which has had deals... and is priced 20 dollars used, but at most major game stores in hiroshima and tokyo has it at 8000yen new still. (as of a month ago, while I was there for 2 months) So it has not officially dropped there either
So ps3 will have bigger boost at price drop. How much I dunno.

Final Fantasy sales have generally been front loaded, so I doubt that price cuts will be enough to really spur sales and keep the legs going.
For those that haven't played FFXIII and missed the hype, the real question is whether the game is a worthy buy or just a good rent, not how much does this game retail for? If you know what the general consensus is, you will know whether FFXIII sales can gain another 2 mil sales in its life time and surpass FFX sales.
