Forums - Sony - Is Trinity Universe worth getting?

Is Trinity Universe a good game?  I was thinking of picking it up any thoughts?  And also are there any towns to explore?  Or is it just a main menu kind of deal where you select a world to go into to grind?

It's a decent game, worth the the time if you're a jRPG fan who's itching for something to play.  There aren't towns to explore it's just a main menu that takes you to shops and dungeons you can explore.  Sadly the dungeons are rather repetitive.

Okay just wondering, how's the style though and what are the cutscenes like, is there voice acting?

There is voice acting most of which is decent but one or two grated on my nerves.  The cutscenes are almost all done in talking heads format with very well drawn pictures that are animated to look like someone standing at rest and slowly breathing, but the mouths moving looks rather off from the rest of the drawing.  Basically the 2D style is great, the 3D style is poor-mediocre.

Alright, thanks.  One last thing though, is it funny?  And are the runs between said funny long?

I think that'll differ from person to person.  I found it pretty funny but not as funny as something like Disgaea.  It is all light hearted but there are more misses than something like Disgaea where they tried to be funny but didn't really get it.
