I just noticed on IGNs lists.

No Gran Turismo 5.

No Fallout: New Vegas

No Age of Empires

No Halo: Reach

IGN's list is horrible, and just... Horrible. Horrid. Crap. Poo. Horrible.

And it's quite strange that Assassin's Creed and Need for Speed are in the PS3 list but not on the 360 list.

Xbox 360
Portal 2
BioShock Infinite
Crysis 2
Dead Space 2
From Dust

PlayStation 3
LittleBigPlanet 2
Infamous 2
Assassin's Creed Brotherhood
Killzone 3
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit

How odd

After their preview of GT5 why isn't it on there?

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

You pretty much nailed it, there was little to no new info on Gears 3 or Reach. The same goes for GT5 despite the preview. However, it is interesting to see how many 3rd party games made the 360 list, which would be all 5 of them. It is strange to see how much effort Microsoft puts into Japan and the US, but Europe is largely ignored.

I think Sony is doing a good job of morphing into Nintendo. Just like on the Wii, Sony gets a lot of good 3rd party games, yet no one cares because Sony's first party offerings are so much more appealing.

Really?

I wouldn't call the Wii's 3rd party situation good by any stretch of the imagination.  It's getting Dragon Quest X and has got Monster Hunter 3, Tatsunoko vs Capcom and Little King's Story, but the remainder is mostly half-arsed attempts by lazy developers.

I agree with you that both Nintendo and to a lesser degree Sony's first party games are absolutely fantastic though

Wii 3rd party has flopped in the sales area but they have tons of good games. From Mursama, to Okami, House of the Dead, De Blob, Boom Blox etc.

There is a lot of good 3rd party games just not a lot of support for them.

R.U.S.E. and Under Siege showed that Move is a good device for RTS games. It's like a mouse for consoles.

IGN named Bioshock Infinite game of the show

I can't say I disagree. It looks awesome.

Bioshock won GOTS but also best 360 game.

LittleBigPlanet 2 won best PS3 game.

Epic Mickey best Wii game.

Okamiden best handheld game.

Civilization V best PC game.

Strange because Gran Turismo 5 is not even a nominee in IGN's Best of Gamescom.

It's IGN.

I guessing there were only showing the ps3 version there or they ran better so they chosed the better version.
