I would now throw a reduntant comment on how awesome and cool that ad was and how it's one of the greatest things I've seen for months.

It was good, (Don't flame me for this but I felt like its trying to copy Halos marketting which is good for its sales.) but wasnt as good as it could have been. (for its sales)

That is why I will point out the bad things of this trailer. This trailer got people who were following Other M hyped for it, but it didn't wow anyone with little Knowledge of the series. When I showed this to my Brother, he laughed at the baby falling near the beginning, and couldn't take the rest seriously. (My brother inst a Metroid Fan so this gives a good idea of why this trailer probably wont expand the fan base.  I thought it was great if you actually had some background info, I remember at E3 they showed a clip where  Samus thumbs downed, and that was in the E3 video. The Varia Suit (Correct me if it was just the Powersuit) blasting space pirates was nice, but it would have been better If it was even more like the ODST trailer. (It would appeal less to hardcore fans but hardcore fans would get the game anyway.) The point of live action trailers is to get people interested in the series, and Im sure it did that for some, but If it was more like the Halo ODST trailer it would be better. I'm new to these forums, and from my experience, if you diagree with the majority of the forum, your a troll. I hope this community wont call me a troll just because I criticised the trailer...

@ bold Haha it doesn't work that way, really the one's getting called out for "disagreeing with the majority" generally do it repeatedly in many threads just to annoy fans of other consoles/games, they simply do it to be "that guy" cause they get their kicks from it.

As for what you said, it's a good thought, we all do love it as fans but for non fans it really won't make a lot of sense, however I think they did this on purpose it was the intent to begin with.  They want this game to top the sales of MP3, MP3 had commercials that would seem to appeal to broader audiences and even had its own channel on the Wii, still the game appealed to fans and thats who bought it, here if they market it to get fans hyped more fans that are on the fence will more likely buy it, the sooner they buy it to release day the more likely they'll buy new as well, so take it how you will but I think this is a commcerial that is not meant to mix signals, it's FOR gamers, it's FOR the fans, it's to get you pumped.
