This seems stupid to me.

I mean would there be an issue if Square just used the original footage not from either console?

Its just video, it doesn't matter.

could matter for someone who has both systems but wasnt informed about the difference between the versions

 

either way, they deserve to get whatever comes their way over stuff like this so they dont try it again.

Also, the commercial is now banned.

Also apparently this was caught late because the ASA trusted S-E when they were told that there were no differences between the two versions and that both versions where made to run in the same resolution.

Ironically we 'the gamers' only knew it, because it was video captured, disected and a full analysis done by Digital Foundry to tell us. 

If DF never did that, none of us would have been any the wiser.

The irony being, none of us can actual tell the difference between PS3/360 version of any multiplats whilst playing. 

The arguement is silly, and to Squares defense the games are contently exactly the same. What happens if devs advertise PC games with the best graphics possible and joe blogs gets it home to only find his PC runs it looking half as good??

I hope they are found guilty. You can plainly see the difference with the naked eye.

Really though, I just want them to lose so I an say that "according to law, ps3>360" XD

Actually no. It was one fanboy gamer who wrote into Watchdog in the UK. 1 writer triggered ASA sitting down with the 2 versions. ( and admitting themselves that the difference is minimal ), in other words unoticeable. 

Also Square Enix were the ones to make the footage. Not M$. So we shouldn't be blaming M$ here. Square have already said it was them.

This is a very terrible statement. And will only entice a war on here.

The 2 versions are near Identical. There is minor differences, but very minor they are.

I hope Square Enix get away unscathed from this. It's the rest of the world that needs to wake up.
