That's misleading.

1. its for launch week

2. it does not prove pent up demand as the greater majority of those are people replacing existing 360s. I'd like to see the yoy increase in unique xbl accounts as compared to sales. I bet its far smaller.

Source?

Logic? and that's why I said I'd like to see yoy increases in xbl accounts to show proof for my hypothesis.

since youd like to see it, find the proof yourself...

you matbe right

He is right.  but it's still crazy sales

Yeah, there's no downplaying a 700% jump in sales--launch week, or previous owners upgrading or not.  That's still a helluva lot of sales.  Certainly, the number of previous owners upgrading can't be the majority in those numbers.  That just wouldn't make much sense.

By the way, is it possible to transfer an Xbox Live account from one Xbox to a replacement console?

Maybe Ps3 owners are finally buying xbox360 so they don't have money left for games.

Just to correct some facts. The Xbox 360 S comes with wireless N unlike the PS3 built-in wifi. And unfortunately for PS3 owners, there is nothing they can do to upgrade that since it is builtin ONLY.

Another thing is that MS has always dominatated with software sales no matter what through the console war. It almost everytime beats Sony's software sales 2:1.

Gotta love how Microsoft tries to spin things on their favor.

Above: still the best game of the year.
