thanks for telling us,

how much does that telly cost then and you need a 3d bd player do you,how much is that

personally i'm more interested in 3d games than movies, they seem to have more effect/difference

unless i see a 3-d movie at a proper 3-d cinema it doesn't seem worth it,but maybe thats just me

what about when people are round does everyonme get a pair os 3-d specs, lol

50" I already  preordered it :D

http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-PN50C490-50-Inch-720p-Plasma/dp/B003XDU6EQ/ref=sr_1_17?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1282155641&sr=8-17

There is absolutely no reason why anyone would buy that TV...when they can buy this one for the same price.

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Mitsubishi - Home Cinema / 65" Class / 1080p / 60Hz / 3D DLP HDTV/9975609.p?id=1218204532577&skuId=9975609

Both TVs do 3D in 720p except the mitsubish one annihilates the Samsung when it comes to response time, size and refresh rate.

"The 3D effect is much better and it adds a nice depth to the game. Am just going to play all the standard games with this conversion."

Does this mean that you can convert any game (Like Uncharted 1 and 2, etc) to 3D? And if so, Is this done by the ps3 or by the TV?

You can play any game on any console...

Its done by the TV, some 3D TVs have it and some dont. Works pretty good for games, not so good for movies like OP said...

To be honest I found both Wipeout HD and Stardust to be quite sub par in 3D. Compared to what I'm use to on the PC, both games are very "lite" on 3D effects. After playing them I decided not to even bother with the PS3 3D tech...instead I'm getting a 3D projector and new video cards for the PC.

The fact you can't increase depth in these games is criminal. Sony needs to include a way to increase depth and convergence for people that hve their eyes used to 3D.

But otherwise, Im glad yuo like your TV. I still see slight crosstalk every time I check out the 55 inch Samsung LED at the mall. You really have to know what to look for and look for it very closely... But it doesn't ruin your experience.

Give Avatar a try...its really good in 3D even if the game is kinda crap. You will manually have to adjust the 3D settings fo that game. Checkerboard on the TV and in game settings will give you the bet 3D results...

Don’t bring PC into the thread coz it is unfair to compare both machines. PC will always be on top but my choice is to play games on console. It is more appropriate to compare consoles to consoles e.g. Xbox to PS3. Also all the PS3 3D games are converted from standard 2D and it is way too early to see full potential. Lets wait for GT5 and K3 to see much better 3D.

While I would never argue that the experience isn't really nice, I still think its a waste of money unless your a kid with no real friends and your parents don't mind spending tons of money on crap you cry about. It could also be your an adult with no friends/family too.

Point is those glasses are just a huge money hungry raping system that is just not financially sound for anyone with a family and a lot of friends who would be wanting to be with during movies and/or sporting events.

I know I would never want my little kids or drunk friends wearing my $150-$200 glasses. Just stupid.

I'll keep 3D to the theater until I get a more appropriate home solution or 3DS.

100 bucks more...but worth it :)

You buy the 399 glasses pack with the 3D adapter and you're laughing. Works with PS3, bl;uray, PC 3D, google earth in 3D...everything.

That Samsung TV doesn't work with PC 3D stuff...

Assumption is the lowest form of knowledge. Nuff said.
