Forums - Sony - MASS EFFECT 2 (PS3) Confirmed - Jan 2011!

Enjoy people because this was the best reason to own a 360. Also you don't have to play one to understand two as some guys are saying. You just will actually know more about who your fighting against and about the history between the humans and the other alien races. Basically a lot, but all the characters from the first except for a few do not return as part of your party. It is still very much worth starting the series at 2.

Well said. This is the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

MS did try to buy Bioware actually. I remember Shane Kim mentioning it.

I would love to know when this happened.

Mass Effect is like a bicycle. Now everyone gets a ride!

Anyway, it doesn't matter that much to the Xbox 360, a year is pretty much an eternity in this business. Whatever ME1/2 have done to benefit the Xbox 360 has already happened. Looking backwards people tend to forget how important these timed exclusives were at the time of release because they become subsequently multiplatform.

ME will always be one of the most important franchises this gen.

Sales wise no.

Critically yes.

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

Seriously though...has anyone even thought that they could add  ME1 as an extra on the Blu Ray disc? This could easily be done since the edition  with the DLC has already been shipped since 2008. They could just do a graphical overhaul like Tecmo did with Ninja Gaiden 2 for the PS3 from 360. Well..then again...that made me never want to play a NInja Gaiden on the 360 ever again.

Mass effect 1 will either be available on psn or on the disc for 10$ more also I hope they will fix all the bugs in the first one

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

pretty sure ME1 and ME2 can fit in one bluray. will it happen? who knows

Really?

I'm guessing you don't own one then.

Don't be so self rightous in my opinion this was the best game the 360 had that the PS3 didn't.

I still think the FF13 multiplat announcement was more of a meltdown :) I never did care about Mass Effect.... I do admit it looks/plays like a great game though.

Everyone needs to play Lost Odyssey! Any opposition to this and I will have to just say, "If it's a fight you want, you got it!"

Yep. But like someone said earlier in this thread, Shepard has a pre-set renegade story if you don't have an imported paragorn ME1 character. I myself, who played ME2 before ME1 didn't happen to agree with Shepard's mentioned actions in ME1 lol.
