A couple things to remember this is just the introduction so not too much action and its very brief. Also this is a leaked version there may be much more to the final version revealed later. Also some things to note the ODST's are discussing fighting with Insurrectionists and the voice over the com says they have lost contact with an outpost and believe that human rebels are responsible. In all actuality this scene probably takes place litteraly moments before First Contact with the Covenant on Reach who actually have systematically begun on offensive on the planet are destroying all vital forms of communication to weaken the fortress world.

Thats so sick. I'm guessing this is the beginning of a mini-series, hope there's plenty of action.

Wow, I have goose bumps. I can already see that the quality of this shit is going to be great, I can't wait until the Covenant attack. And what's with these insurrectionists? I'm not familiar with any such story line. Any of you well versed in the canon care to explain?

You should read The Fall of Reach because the back story is way too deep to explain in a single forum post but I'll try and sum it up for you.

The insurrectionists also called innies are a very powerful rebel group that are trying to break away from the UNSC. The two have been at war for many years before the Covenant arrive and the war is threatening to destroy all control the UNSC has on the outer colonies. The Spartans were initially created to destroy the human rebels and indeed were very effective in dealing them major defeats. Once the Covenant show up however the entire focus of the Spartan program is changed to deal with this new threat. Once it is seen how powerful the Covenant truly are ONI starts the production of the Spartan III's, cheaper, disposable versions of the Spartan II's. That is what Noble team is, a team of Spartan III's, well all except Jorge.
