Yep, confirmed to use a modified Gamebryo like usual.

The next game (which is already in pre-production) will be on new tech. The obvious choice of speculation there is id Tech 5 of course.

I love Gamebryo though. It brought me three wonderful graphical experiences and generational leaps with Dark Age of Camelot (most beautiful MMO at that time, in 2002), Morrowind and Oblivion.

Yeah i guess it does look good for that time but looking at fallout new vegas graphically it doesn't look up to par with modern games, maybe it's fallout animations not the engine.I already preordered new vegas though the collectors edition set is amazing.

I want this sooooo bad.

Just please, Bethesda. NO MMO!!!!!

In fact, I wont mind if there is no multiplayer at all.

Just make a good, long singleplayer game.

PS - If possible, make the main quest a little bit longer.

Bethesda Game Studios is making a single player Elder Scrolls like usual. No worries there.

Zenimax Online is making the MMO (most likely an Elder Scrolls MMO but could be a Fallout MMO)

Bethesda Softworks (publisher) will publish both games.

I agree. Fallout 3 was already looking a bit old. New Vegas looks plain awful lol. Well not awful but it's certainly the ugliest big budget game.

It will be great though and sell 4 million.

Really? Thanks.

About the Fallout MMO, the last I heard Interplay (who had the rights for Fallout initially) are winning a judicial battle against Bethesda and are making a Fallout MMO.

Yeah that's why I believe - and hope - that the Zenimax MMO is in fact an Elder Scrolls MMO because it would have been too risky to start developing a Fallout MMO already in 2007 and then have it canceled due to a court decision. Also, elderscrollsonline is a registered website.

Now many people will say an Elder Scrolls MMO is a disgrace but since we know that main Bethesda is making the single player games as usual I say why not also have an MMO in that same world, it's just a bonus and there's a chance I might get to have fun with it for at least a few months.

I hate Gamebryo, it must be one of the buggiest engines I've seen. At least in the hands of Bethesda, and I doubt it's going to be fixed in New Vegas either.

Oh, I'd kill for a great-executed ES game. To wander from Morrowind to Shimmering Isles @_@

The engine is not buggy, it's probably Bethesda's fault lol. Dark Age of Camelot back in 2001 ran on Gamebryo and was super stable and had the most stable launch of a MMO the world had seen. I played it for 2 years experiencing lots of updates including a huge graphical overhaul. A great engine.

Now the dev tools to make a game in Gamebryo might be non-intuitive or something, that I don't know. So in a way it could be Gamebryo's fault indirectly. New Vegas will show us if it's the engine/tools or the dev's fault.

I must say I don't mind bugs though! They're almost never a deal breaker. I'd rather have a huge complex game with tons of bugs than a polished game with limited freedom.
