Forums - General - Buying a new LED TV next weekend....Any Suggestions?

Best Buy has just about all of their LED TVs on sale and I'm looking to buy one next Friday or Saturday. Does anyone have any experioence with these TVs? I currently have an LG 42" - 120Hz TV and want to replace it with a 46-47" LED.

I've found three TVs that look pretty good, but I can't decide on which one. I'll list some of the main specs with most of the ones that differ between each model. Any thoughts?

Those are some nice T.V.s I say it's whatever's cheaper between the Sony and the Samsung really, not saying LG makes bad T.V.s but I havn't been impressed with what I see from them in the stores.  Or see if you can get some kind of deal between either of them like see if you can get one of them with a surround sound system.  Though I have a 54inch Sony T.V. I got for my dad sitting in the family room, that display is amazing.  It like auto corrects movements of images so even running at like 120hz the image doesn't seem liike its running to fast that you get when you kick up the frequency and it's just all around gorgeous.

The Samsung LED TVs look very sexy but they have poor sound quality due to how thin they are. Thats pretty much all I can add!

Tease.

I bought this one and I am very happy with it.

Right now, the Sony is $100.00 cheaper than the LG and the Samsung at $1,299.99, but the other two come with a free 19" Dynex LCD. I don't have any use for it, but I guess I could always sell it.

@Squilliam I already have a Samsung Surround Sound system, so that wouldn't be that big of a deal.

NICE. I've always thought about buyng from Amazon, but I'm not comfortable buying anything over $1000 online. I may just break that rule of mine since I just saw the same LG on Amazon for almost $300.00 less than the on sale price at Best Buy.

So did u decided yet?

If you're considering the Bravia X700, I would suggest you look for the Sharp equivalent instead.

I was hesitating between the 700UN series from Sharp and the X700 from Sony, but in the end, I noticed that the blacks on the Sharp were better than than bluish ones from the Bravia.

Judging from the specs you are looking for, you should look into the LC46LE700UN.  It is also noteworthy to mention that the Sharp 700UN series is the greenest of its class.

I just bought a Panasonic 58" 3DTV from Eastcoast TVs a couple months ago, for $800 cheaper than retail.. free shipping, no tax. If you live in the delivery area, it's a no brainer..
