I can get one game: Metriod: Other M or Monster Hunter Tri?

Metroid: Other M 16 38.10%

Monster Hunter 3 8 19.05%

Steal from mom and get both 13 30.95%

Save it for another game 1 2.38%

What about the poor homeless people? 4 9.52%

Total:42

I'm getting $50 this month for doing various chores around the house and selling some things. This is the only money I could legally get until the holidays due to school and sports coming up. Now my dilemma is that I want 2 games: Metroid: Other M and Monster Hunt Tri.

On one hand, Metroid: Other M looks really good. I wasn't really enthralled with the Metroid games I've played, but I did enjoy aspects of both types of games in the series this one looks like it takes what I like from both the 2D and 3D games into one. I've been avoiding hype so nothing is spoiled for me. The problem is that the game is a single-player adventure game and I can only get 1 game to last me until Christmas.

On the other hand, I've heard many great things about Monster Hunters Tri. Online looks like it would be fun, and the concept sounds pretty entertaining. Problem is that it's an entirely new series that I don't know if I will like it or not.

So what do you guys think? Metroid that I've come to trust, but it takes a new direction,  or Monster Hunter Tri that's already been critically acclaimed but is a new concept that would be risky to jump to?

What about the poor homeless people?

Give your money to them.

ot: I'll say mh3, because of the mass online community.

But you'll suffer for the first 7 hours, that is a fact....

if you have online, mh3, if not, other m

Get Metroid Other M from Amazon and get $20 game credit. (Basically you're spending $30 on it)

I think Metroid. I rented MH3, but I didn't really like it, but that's just me. If anyone knows how to make the best games on the Wii, it's Nintendo.

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

MH3 will last you years and years

I find MHtri really really boring. But I don't like those type of games really, so I'm not the best person to be describing it. I didn't like my psp one, then my brother bought this and bah!

but if that's your thing, go ahead. It will last you til the earth ends.

Metroid the other M, most likely based on the fact of it's passed at not sucking.
But it could still suck.

buy starcraft :P

Monster Hunter 3 will last you for months, and hopefully u get more cash at Christmas and you can buy Metroid off Ebay for cheap.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

Interesting responses. Monster Hunter Tri appears to be a better long-term game, but the Amazon deal is also extremely intreaguing. Maybe I'll get Metroid and use the extra money to find MH3 used.....
