i hve this fear. I see no hype for gt5 on here or any othr forum on the intrnet. evry1 is excited for new COD, halo, evn LBP2 has more excitement.

I remembr when GT3 was going to release, the hype in months to its launch ws really high, for gt5 ther is nuthing.

the pre-orders in america are vry bad, its doing less than othr titles which shudn't be doing more than a GT game...ff14, fable 3, assasins creed and evn kh on the psp is doing bettr pre-orders weekly thn gt5.

cud gt5 do very disappointing sales (sub 5/6 million)

Even if it flops...the sales of Logitech G27 racing wheel and Playseat Evolution Gaming Seat will go up by 1000%

Seriously though, I don't think its going to flop. Its got the racing market in 2010 all to itself and a huge brand name/quality record.

Well Need for Speed Most wanted is out too... Actually that game looks pretty badass.

it all looks slow and low because of the repetitive delays... people just can't keep the hype high for that long... but as soon as it sees the light of day the hype will sky rocket and sales will follow...

i'm not sure! if so where did 15m people go? did they just drop of the face of the earth.

i think GT5P 3m is a good mark to judge GT5 by! if you think about it tradition demos don't sell 3m units so just multiply it by 2 and 6m is what most likely the sells will be by the end of the yr 10m by summer of next yr and 15m by the end of holiday season 2011 or more. 

i need to know more about how GT sells so i can do a more accurate depiction of possible sells, but anything can happen so.

@disolitude: actually I thought they have F'd up the NFS Hot persuit sequel ....shame since the last game was a lot of fun and easily imho was the best NFS to date

I really don't think so because its been 5 years since the last Gran Turismo. Epic sales will follow after its launch, and it will have great legs. However, other racers have been coming out every year or two. 

One of the possible reasons for the lack of hype could be that people are sick and tired of waiting for this game.

I think GT5 Prologue's 4.95million will prove that itself andthat wasn't even marketed that much

i made a thread gt5 v need for speed hot pursuit and it was pretty popular if i remember correctly, and on a few other threads about the holiday selling season pitted Halo reach and GT5 against each other and it got pretty heated so the hype is there, but theres really n o threads about it. check out that GT5 sells prediction thread.
