Crisis Core is the only good game that comes to mind since Dragon Quest VIII

If they were to get their shit together, they would have already done so. They are giving us the same exact formula over and over again with DQ yet they claim to want to redesign the genre with each FF release..

If the gaming industry were to have a freak, it would be Square Enix.

Actually FF8 was the fastest selling FF game in History.

Well technically the time span matters and needs to be specified, I'm not sure the numbers but I don't care that much. Like fastest FF to 9.8 million or whatever. There's only one. FF7. Fastest 1 day, fastest week. Fastest month. Fastest year. could all be different

Which did he mean by fastest? Because I remember SE saying first day or 3 that it was the fastest selling FF ever (whether it's true or not Idk Idc). But extend that period to a month. I'd guess not. Based on overall sales (which are still good) just not as high as some

A lot of people seem to be ignoring the handheld front, which to me has the quality of the old squaresoft, and yes I am someone who has heavily bashed Square Enix before.

HD Console Rundown:

Square Enix has everything in perfect order here as well, the only problem SE really has is Tri-Ace games, which seem subpar this generation.

Final Fantasy XIII was better than last two mainline Final Fantasy games (at least to me and few others).

Final Fantasy XIII (The other one) looks in good order.

Last Remnant which had a poor console choice release, and is actually decent in battle style.

Front Mission looks like it is coming in perfect order.

Nier was also really good game, and I should put it in my wishlist (I rented it).

Final Fantasy XIV looks like it is awesome and much better than Final Fantasy XI.

Eidos has been doing the best work they have done in years.

I'll never admit that FFXIII is a better game than FFX on the battle system alone. Seriously, FFXIII's was ATROCIOUS. No tactic, too flashy, shallow (well, OK, a bit of depth and tactic in some missions).

And the endless HP on even the weakest enemy is simply idiotic.

I had no problem with the story, and the setting/world was among the best in any FF yet. Battle system completely ruined it for me, though.

*sigh*

This from the guy who did one of the crappiest reviews I've ever read. And I've been to really crappy sites and blogs. You sir have no morality whatsoever to speak about DQ.

But go ahead and bash on DQ, probably one of the last true representatives of the JRPG genre and with DQIX, one of it's best exponents.

Morality? Lol.

Also DQ wasn't bad, it just wasnt that great nor something I haven't already experienced from previous DQ titles.

My review doesn't lie. Call it crappy all you like. it won't change the score. On the contrary, It only makes me more confident in my work :)

Wait... how does someone calling your review crappy make you more confident in your work?  ...that doesn't make sense o_O.  Wouldn't you want to try and learn, if at all possible, from the criticism?

Anyway, I'm just glad that Dragon Quest doesn't change itself too much with each following game.  If I wanted a totally unique experience I would go buy a game from a series I haven't experienced yet.

If you are wondering why I said last two, I mean FFX-2 and FFXII (FFX-2 is considered mainline)...not FFX. If that was directed at me.

I think they've been good, But we they could have been far better, we need some 2d goodness tbh, Maybe a secret of mana 2 or a chrono trigger 2 would rock. I really want some epic 2d jrpg goodness like we used to have.

because it's the only tactic anyone who doesn't have a good argument can resort to.

criticisms are always welcome btw. I welcome and learn from them from the team staff and some members, but unfortunately, someone upset about a score is not my problem.
