PS3 sold in Japan so far: 5,400,00

PS2 sold in Japan when GT3 came out: 4,314,529

Going by your logic, GT5 should sell more than GT3 because there's a bigger userbase...so why do you have lower sales?

Heh, he could probably try, but I think his last response to Boutros actually is a perfect response to someone giving me hell about my own numbers. It doesn't make even a lick of difference if I'm wrong, so what does it matter?

@Darth and @Boutros: Honestly, I don't think they should be changed. Everyone else is shooting pretty high. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of the series, it's not like I'm trolling here. But there's been a lot of pretty impressive games on the PS3 that have underperformed than what was anticipated. The Prologue has sold a lot, sure enough, but the fans of GT5 are dyed in the wool fans now, so I'm feeling that it's pretty safe to say that a LOT of fans bought it. It's a household name now. If such is the case, then my numbers might not be that off.

Because you are comparing LTD numbers,  which cant be used. GT3 never sold to that many PS2s. When GT3 was launched, the PS2 had about 12M consoles.   GT4 launched at 70M consoles.   Are you honestly going to say that GT3 sold a significant portion of its sales after Gt4 launched?  Cause you are basically saying that over 50% of it sales came after GT4 launched.  So explain to me how GT3 sold over 7M games after GT4 launched?

Also the best selling MGS sold a little over 5.5M, meanwhile the best selling GT sold almost 15M,  yet you compare the 2 series and think that MGS4 will beat GT5.  How did you come to that conclusion?

I'm weird, I know. :( I have no ego to speak of. Oh, and I edited my previous post, but I'll just put it here too, cause I realize that must be annoying to guys trying to converse with me. Sorry about that!
