Actually Brave New World is a dystopian novel that did a rather good job compared to the others to predict how the world will evolve. Genetic enhancements (OK the book has eugenics instead of direct genetic modification, but that ideea didn't exist when the book was written, so the author couldn't predict that), medication that "makes you happy and content" were elements presented in that book.

And wile the sun isn't going to explode anytime soon,I don't think that we, as a species, should wait until then to start researching space travel and planet colonisation.

well we still have 900 million years time until it's getting too hot here on earth

Fine, in 50 years come back to this thread and say "told you so!" I'll be reading it from my extremely portable PC from my retirement beach house (that will be covered in snow if your prediction comes true).

im dead serious! i saw it on national geography. if antartica or green land melts a lot of fresh water will be in the ocean, some how disturbing the current causing an ice age of 10k years. it happened in the past. and anyway earth had 3 ice ages, because it has two diffrent orbits, one is an oval, another is a perfect circle.

also looked what happened in montreal they had no power for 4 days and they were stuck at home. how would we eat or go to work. our community will get destroyed. well also freeze to death.

wanna make a bet :p

Depends on where you live:

It will definitely get colder in South/West Germany where I live, but hardly uninhabitable.

temperature will only reduce by 2 degrees celsius in the equator area. Perfect place to live :)
