You are being sarcastic, I hope... You cannot exist in life without statistics. If you are serious, maybe you should check out a book called "Against the Gods". It is a nice work on the history of statistics and how it brought mankind into the modern age. The gist of it is that, before statistics, everything was the "will of the gods". Today we know that if we roll a six-sided die, we have a 1/6 chance of rolling a 6. The gods didn't will the 6. It was chance and statistics predicts it.

Everything in any modern manufacturing facility is using process controls which use statistics for quality control. Insurance rates are based on statistics. The price you pay for a stamp is based on statistics. NPD is based on statistics... and so on...

The PS3 receives in december Blacksite Area 51 ,Unreal Tournament III and The Orange Box ...and debut january Haze .This should give the machine some credit in the eyes of the FPS-hungry north american gamers ....

Good sales for the PS3 ,it should do something better though to win the overall race .The holiday season started in PAL last week and will increase the next ones until the mass point in the days between 20 december to 5 january.Japan must also receive their boost in december and January .With that in count it should close somewhat the worlwide gap ,but to do it fast it need to get even closer to the 360 in NA .

Orange box for the Ps3 is only available for the us in december....all the others will have it in january...

Blacksite, really? THAT game is going to help sell ps3s? I agree with Unreal and Orange Box selling systems but Blacksite?

You mean gamers who probably already own a PC or XBox 360 already? Likely already own The Orange Box, and would prefer to wait a couple of months for Unreal Tournament on the 360 or play it on their PC (which is probably far more powerful than the PS3)?
