Hey I think I might have found the release date?  Amazon lists the Prima strategy guide for DKCR with a release date of 11/19.  Don't those usually release with the game itself?

Ouch. The old rare made a nigh on perfect game. 

The redesigns sound horrible.

And WTF with no K.K.Rool.

I know many dont want to hear it, but this gen IMO is not the Nintendo I grew up with and loved.

Jetpacks? Shooting nuts? Also IMO the old games looked better. Wierd.
