I had many notebooks like Toshiba, Acer, HP, now I am using for the second time a VAIO, not all VAIO note are good, my first one was terrbible, got many hardware poblems and I spent so much money in it...
Now I am using a VAIO VGN-F , FW140AE, it´s amazing... fast, great keyboard for fast typing, great screen and 3d ATI with dedicated memory to play Fallout 3.
So.. I recomend a VAIO only if the specs are 4GB RAMand HD over 320GB... I did an upgrade at mine.
If you gonna use heavy duty, I would recomend you looking for a DELL with 4 years of warranty...
