i think ps3 as it is more popular when you look at game sales and console sales before 360s. Also the 360 had a year head start and is currently losing. But the 360 sales should settle down soon as all the people who want the knew one would have one so it is back to how it was before.

so the ps3 should win but you add how big gt5 will be and killzone 3

So much wrong with this post it boggles the mind.

Firstly, the PS3 is currently selling more software than 360 on a weekly basis in Europe. Do your homework.

Secondly, Halo Reach will bump hardware slightly for one week. 70k extra units in a race to sell 4 million is nothing.

Thirdly, you say the PS3 had a good run in Europe as if the PS3 enjoyed a brief blip of success versus the 360's overall dominance of the territory - this is nonsense. The PS3 has sold more than the 360 in Europe despite releasing 15 months later. There's no ambiguity about it.

Lastly, Gears 3 has no significance to hardware sales in Fall/Winter 2010. Get real.

I vote 360. The difference in sales is only 180k, and the 360 is selling about 30k a week more then the PS3 (80k vs 50k). Now the 360S Arcade has yet to launch in Europe, and this fall Microsoft has a stronger lineup. Also Kinect Bundles should really help Microsoft. By mid september the 360 will have caught up in sales, and by the end of the year, Microsoft should have an advantage in Europe by at least a few hundred thousand, and both consoles should be close to 19M in terms of sales.

So I beleive the 20 million barrier will be crossed next year, just a little before Gears of War 3 is launched, and I feel that until next E3 microsoft will hold a lead in sales over PS3. Maybe not every consecutive week, but I don't think PS3 will regain dominance in Europe until fall 2011, and by that point the 20M point will have been crossed. I mean Killzone 3 might push PS3 sales early next year, but in general I think the 360 will hold it's ground for another 10 months or so. Especially with Kinect.

PS3 software is actually higher than the 360's in Europe.
