1. Namco almost never releases ports of Tales games in the West. They released Eternia PSP in Europe, but that's it. There are a bunch of ports/remakes that stayed in Japan (Rebirth PSP, Destiny PS2, Destiny Director's Cut, Destiny II PSP, Symphonia PS2, Phantasia PS1, Phantasia PSP, Vesperia PS3). Also, Namco have NEVER localized a port of a Tales game that has previously been released on a different company's console.

Not true, Graces Wii was planned for worldwide release originally and "english localization staff" was even credited in the game, similar to Vesperia 360's japanese release.   There's conflicting info on wether Vesperia PS3 was ever planned (localizer John Riccardi of 8-4 fame said no, voice actor Troy Baker said yes), but in the end we know that didn't happen either.

Another Tales tidbit, it seems Tales of the Tempest for DS was fully localized for America and just never released.  Versus for PSP was also being considered before Namco Hometek seemingly backed out of the series entirely.  Tales has always had it pretty rough, but this generation's been disastrous.  I wish they'd have forgone 'non-mothership' entires like DONTW and RM entirely, and waited for Graces, Hearts and PS3 Vesperia.  

The original was shaded this way.  All they did was up-render it in higher resolution... and honestly, it still looks great, on par with Vesperia imo.

So what? You need a legit copy to use the translation patch anyhow. So stop whining because you're going to be able to play regardless of what Namco Bandai does. The same can't be said for ps3 owners who want to play ToG in english.

Well you never know. With ToV people speculated there might be something in agreements with MS to not release it outside of Japan.

Now with Graces it wouldn't suprise me if some assholes at Namco decided it's smart idea to wait till they have wii and ps3 versions ready to join marketing campaign or some other stupid reason.

Thankfully for me, I do have a Japanese Wii so I can play it on that, but I don't see how that helps everyone else who does not.

From a quick search on their forums I read the patch will work on North American and PAL Wii systems.
