Hmm... I don't believe cables add anything signifcant to picture quality. Is there evidence of that?

About the Panasonic 3D plasma. It has these advantages with no ghosting, better viewing angle etc but what I don't like about it is that the TV itself is not good looking. Its edges are so thick and it looks so old school.

Meanwhile the Samsung UE46C8705 is the best looking TV I've ever seen. I assume it's the same you're buying, it's supposed to be named 8705 here in Europe.

Also I was at this huge MediaMarkt electronics warehouse in my city a couple of weeks ago and the Samsung UE46C8705 (=C8000) had the best picture quality of all the literally hundreds and hundreds of TVs on display. I only saw the 2D quality of it though. The 3D demo they had set up was with a cheaper TV.

I'm so envious too.

I've done a lot of research before getting this TV. It just seems perfect. I couldnt resist getting this TV when the free 3d blu player was offered. Samsung offers a pair of free glasses when you request them via webiste. All I need is the TV serial no. Will have 4 or 5 depending how many glasses come with the tv.

Dont envy. I will tell you if it was worth getting.
