Most of my friends that heard about versusxiii think that the game is a spin-off. Even if SE markets very well, there will be people thinking the same. This game must be a commercial succes. I want it to be. And with this name, I think it's impossible.

its doubtful how successful FF15 will be after FF13s reputation. and SE need to repair a lot of damage done to the series before we can think about FF15 imo.

did FF12's "bad" reputation harm ff13 sales? luking at user reviews accross lots ov site on th internet including this one FF12 was received worse thn FF13 among th ff users. And before it FFX-2 ws received evn worse. wth critics I know its opposite, but with ppl buying th game FF13 was received bettr thn FF12.

luk at ff14 pre-orders rite now, they r doing bettr thn ff13 pre-orders wer doing at th same time, wht does this show us? it definetely dusnt show th franchise is weaker, it actully shows th frnchise has become strongr.

yeah you do have a point! FF14 seems to be popular at the moment. by no means am i saying FF13 is a bad game, its just a bit dissappointing imo. but honestly though, FF13 might have done well in sales, but how many people do you know finished it. i have 3 friends who are longtime fans of the series and none of them got even half way. now, i think the problem is whether those longtime fans will come back for FF15 etc.

I think you are missing the point.

With XIII Versus, it's like saying that the game will be in the same way as FFXIII or even worse: a spin-off.

Renaming to FFXV the game will not be very hurt by the reputation of FFXIII.

I hope that Versus is just a codename, but unfortunately it seems not.

I really hope this game is like old final fantasy titles. I just want bahamut to be bahamut or shiva to be shiva the ice queen not some transformer cars. I want to enjoy Final Fantasy again like i used to. So far, Versus XIII is getting me very very interested in the series again. Are random battles confirmed?

no versus xiii is going to be nthing like old FF titles.

It dusnt hve random battles and it isnt turn based, it has action based battle sistem like KH.

it is set in a modern world, not sci fi, jst modern. it is going for darker story nt like FF9 or FF6 stories whch were traditional.

If u wnt versus xiii to be like the Ps1 FF's or SNES FF's, dnt, becaus it isnt going to be, and it is gud it wnt be becaus I wnt new experiences.

This game is sounding like the way FF13 should have been. They should have made this one FF13 and called FF13, FF13-2 like the spin off they did for FF10 because basicly those to games where lame as fuck and unworthy of being named FF. This is just my opinion. Sorry if I offended anyone who liked FF10-2 and FF13. Its all down to a persons taste and those games didn't do it for me.

As far as I know, the battles will be "seamless" and you will see the enemies walking on the field... and some of them will pop out of nowhere :P. So... I think battles will be something simillar to Final Fantasy XII battles... with Action JRPGs battle system instead (simillar to Kingdom Hearts with some Third Person Shooter elements).

ff13 is the base mythology for all ff13 games.ff versus xiii and agito xiii have l'cie, fal'cie and gods from ffxiii.

ff13 wud hve to release before versus xiii and agito xiii and gud it did, ffxiii is one ov my favrites.
