nice sales for PS3 biggest jump from last week in NA

wanna see NPD now what they'll show for there estimates, VGC shows PS3 doing bout 200k for all of july all of americas lets see if that 300k NPD June was a one month deal only for the PS3

Uhh, I think you're mistaken. Need I remind you of the 70% WOW boost the black Wii gave in the UK last year?

Black, not white.  Black fits better with people's entertainment centers.  People will switch from WHITE to BLACK much more than they would the other way around.

IIRC Chart Track reported it as well. I can't recall any other examples off hand. The launch was spaced out in the rest of the world, right?

What? Sengoku Basara didn't move 25k, it was the new PS3 color. The game itself probably moved just 2-3k.

it was launched in Novemebr...  Holiday sales have started then too and the Wii had an amazing holiday last year.  So it is not a fair comparison. 

But it did provide a boost... hardly Earth shattering though considering all factors.


Obviously holiday sales had some impact but they hadn't gone into full swing at that point. Clearly the PS3 is poised to have an extremely good Holiday in EMEAA. It wouldn't be much of a stretch to see a PAL price cut and SKU shift, a new color model, and GT5 all within weeks of each other probably having an astronomical effect.
