The gaame was made because Mario DID take off. This isn't one of those b knockoffs made to come out at the same time. This came out in 1987, when Super Mario Bros. was already a hit. This game wouldn't exist if Mario hadn't taken off.

Well obviously. That's what a knockoff/clone game is-a clone of something successful.

But, what if this game's release hadn't been destroyed by Nintendo and Giana had actually outsold Mario and become a heavy hitter in the game industry? Would the Gamecube have had Ultra Giana Moonshine?

Actually I had this on the C64, they modded it to look more like Mario Bros though. This game was great for it's time... freaking hard though. I'm sure this guy used an emulator and stitched everything together, he makes it look wayyyyy too easy. The game was one of the hardest out there.

It's on the Chintendo Vii virtual console, along with Jackass Kong and Mytraid Prime.

I hope they release F Negative One and PilotFlaps soon.

Does anyone know if Legend of Belding: A Zack to the Future is going to be released at the same time as Legend of Belding: Dusk Prince is as a promotional thing?

Me? Haha, the Vii has been in the news so much lately pretty much any blatant ripoff immediately gets attached to that thing for me mentally.

I just can't help it, the Vii has captured my imagination to the level of Kim Jong Il in the comedy gold/sadness department.  

I wonder if we'll ever get sales figures for the Vii.
