Web Surveys Led To Development Of Tales Of Graces F

Famitsu has an interview with Tales of Graces producer Hideo Baba and he explained how Tales of Graces F got started. "After the release of the Wii version, an exceedingly high number of comments wanted for a PS3 port," Baba said.

 

These comments came from online surveys, which Namco Bandai opens a week after a game launches. Surveys stay up for roughly two months. For example, a Tales of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon X survey is scheduled to start on August 5 and will run until October 11. The Tales of Graces survey ran from December 10 to February 14, 2010.

 

Development of the PlayStation 3 port started this past February.

 

Tales of Graces F is slated for release this winter. The PlayStation 3 version adds new battle techniques, costumes for Sophie, and a brand new Genealogy of the Future storyline that takes place after the events of Tales of Graces.

Well I remember when TOG launched a lot of reviews on Amazon Japan were whining about it not being on PS3.

So Tales fanbase is on PS3 now in Japan?

well to sum this up Tales is on PS3..because where Japan wants it.I cant see any reason why NB would go against that* ignoring he fact that there stupid* from this point on it would seem like the case.

The JRPG fanbase has always been on the PS3 in Japan (console wise). Shame on all developpers for not seeing this.

Namco actually doesn't give a damn , they always make new games with extra features its not because they love the PS Fanbase.

*eyeroll* nobody said they did.. But if thats where there fans want it im sure they wouldnt act against it rather they cared or not.

Well it was clearly the case after TOV's fantastic performance on PS3.

Nice to see they have come to their senses.

Next worldwide localization of Tales.

Hell even if only NA got a Tales PS3 I'm fine cus I can import.

now if only BN would do a questionnaire on the rest of the world to see if they would like to see ToV, ToGF, and the new PS3 tales game be localized, I think they would get an astounding HELL YES!!!

To be honest I am 100% sure the new tales will make it... Its just Vesperia or Graces, which I think theres a chance for both. rumors say vesperia is done

why would they even bring it to ps3?

it seem's like they would be horrified to even think about a ps3 version knowing how well it sell's on that system

being that Bamco is horrified of profit, i cant believe they are putting it on ps3 and not psp or 360 O_o
