Looks like Halo Reach actually might have a shot at outselling MW2....I sure hope it does!

Well by looks of the pre order numbers it looks like it has a chance and like seece said I'm only talking about America numbers not world wide. It's almost doing double the pre order numbers Gran Turismo 5 is doing so it's possible that it might outsell it or sell the same as Gran Turismo 5 Of course I could be wrong.

Just look at the pre order numbers for Gran Turismo 5 this week they are lower than last weeks numbers the pre order numbers for GT5 seem to fluctuate from 6K to 10K every week it doesn't seem to be going upwards. While Fable 3's numbers seem to be only going upwards lately.

So by me saying other games were closing in on GT5 which makes GT5 numbers seem rather average you got all that?!

FF online,Fable,Fallout,star wars, assasins creed etc etc are all doing roughly what GT5 is each week.

Not quite sure how that clasifies as "bullshit" when the numbers are there to see and see that i am right?

As for the other stuff about regions and that, wow you really went off on one. All i said is that it was doing average, which it is. But yet from that we get an essay on how it isn't it's popular region etc.. which shows that you feel you have to defend it.

But you seem to be a good fortune teller, you can predict what is going to happen. But just to correct you a little to show that maybe you don't quite know what your talking about. You mention GT5 is tracking alongside MW2 on PS3. If you look at MW2 numbers on PS3 for the first week your see that they are less then the first week for GT4 in the US. Meaning if it continues to track at MW2 rate it will be a lot lower then it's previous games opening week. With all your talk you would expect it to beat those numbers right. Because selling less is considerd better in your world yeah?

I am happy to make a bet with you right now. Put your rep on the line. You seem to think you talk the talk, now let's see if you can walk the walk. I bet you right now GT5 worldwide figures for it's first week will not beat 2.5m units sold sold. Meaning the series will have declined since GT4 was released. You claim the rest of the world is hyped about it etc.. that US sales should not be looked into too much as everywhere else is where it will sell. I live in Europe and i can tell your right now that times have changed. People don't think of the game in the same way anymore.

So how about it? You are super confident that i am wrong. You "Know" that it is going to sell xyz in Europe making it on par with certain games. If i am wrong i will leave Vgc for good. If you are wrong you put in your sig "don't listen to me, all i do is talk shit". Deal? What have you got to lose, as you are so sure your right?

Your statement about other games overtaking GT5 is generic in nature, you are assuming that GT5 is going to remain static.  I don't think its an overaction, it just how you quietly tried to go out of your own way to somehow downplay GT5 potential sales while elevating other potential game sales.

Looks like Halo Reach is as unstopable as Halo 3 and the media blitz hasn't even really started. I wonder what the preorders will look like after MS unleashes it's full force of marketing.

As i said there is no-way to guess at what is going to happen. We can only go off things that are happening right now. And right now a fair few games are doing around the same numbers per week as GT5. Some of those games are not AAA titles. Thus if you compare GT5 pre-orders to other titles current weekly numbers you see they are average.

He simply didn't like the fact that someone pointed that out. We have a long long way to go. GT5 numbers could pick up and they will pick up. But if people are going to cry everytime someone points out that GT5 looks set to sell less then it's predacessor then they shouldn't respond to it. if they can't take criticism then they shouldn't be here or replying to people in the way they do.

Agreed and agreed. Especially with the whole "if people are going to cry everytime someone points that GT5 might sell less than its predecessor." But I will like to point out that people's behavior and actions can be mapped out and accurately predicted. I still stand behind my prediction that GT5 will sell 8.5-9 million lifetime. Getting close to 10 million but just not quite getting there. That is till the next GT game launches within that timeframe. 

when will GT5 spark the fire, seems <10K is little low for suct a Gigaton Franchise.

Why is GT5 being compared to totally unrelated genres? Is it purely for the purpose of suggesting GT5 is gonna bomb? FM2 and GT4 sold almost identical numbers in Americas, soooooo
