AAA status for a game?

when was AAA status for a game akin to How much money you put into the game, or How much sales it has?

AAA status for game's is based on Opinion, if you ask me any game that has a like minded group of Gamer's who play the game could have that very game AAA..

Farmville is a good example:

million's and million's of people play the game but many still like to say it's casual?

Did you not find it strange that all of the big boys were talking about how everything's changing and yet Nintendo, 5 years ahead of the curve, were not mentioned?

I did, yes. That's how i knew the Wii, and Nintendo games were mentioned and didn't cry about it in my Opening Post.

well Pachter's been 'predicting' things that have never come true so Ima take this with a grain of salt.

AAA is more than just based on someone's opinion. The companies themselves are calling a game AAA depending on the budget and the targeted audience.
